Wrapping up the 2025 KPAFFL Season
With the 2025 KPAFFL Championship in the books, that is a wrap on another successful and wild fantasy season. Congrats to Bluhm Goes The Dynamite on taking down Manifest Destiny in a very closely contested championship weekend. Despite playing before the Sunday slate, Bluhm's squad positioned themselves for a victory with a vintage Derrick Henry 45 point performance that Manifest Destiny could not overcome. Bluhm Goes the Dynamite takes home their second KPAFFL title and becomes the sixth different league winner over a six year stretch. The 2025 season had plenty of surprising performances and stand out players, so let's take a look at the All-Fantasy Team this year.
QB - Josh Allen - 364.62 points
RB1 - Christian McCaffery - 356.90 points
RB2 - Jonathan Taylor - 334.40 points
WR1 - Puka Nacua - 289.50 points
WR2 - Jaxon Smith-Njigba - 289.00 points
TE - Trey McBride - 242.90 points
FLEX - Bijan Robinson - 325.50 points
D/ST - Seattle Seahawks - 161.00 points
There are dozens of accolades that could be given out to the members of the KPAFFL, both good and bad, but here are some that stand out as a result of the final standings for the 2025 season.
Best Overall Draft - BluhmGoesTheDynamite
Taking Derrick Henry at the end of the first round was a no-brainer, but scooping up the overall RB2 in round two with Jonathan Taylor helped lead Bluhm's squad to the promised land. The team drafted solid depth at all positions and got a TE playoff hero with Kyle Pitts in round 13. Just as with every team there were some swings and misses, but overall Bluhm's team had the depth to win it all.
Best Draft Pick - Chopkins (Drake Maye)
I knocked team Chopkins for making QB an afterthought in the preseason despite being a big believer in the QB myself, but Patriots QB's have tended to be subpar when it comes to fantasy since Tom Brady's departure. Maye squashed that trend by finishing as the QB2, and Chopkins stole him in the 12th round of the draft. Maye will be a top-five drafted QB in 2026 and hopefully will continue to put up gaudy stats for the next decade to come.
Worst Draft Pick - Holmes Crew (Justin Jefferson)
This isn't a reflection of what was the worst draft pick at the time of the draft, but what turned out to be the worst by the end of the season. Holmes Crew took Jefferson fifth overall, yet he ended up scoring out as WR28. He had only two touchdowns this season and didn't crack a thousand yards, and finished behind receivers like Wan'Dale Robinson, Quentin Johnston, and Michael Wilson, all of whom went undrafted. Not what you want out of your early first round pick.
Trade of the Year - Team Tyler
Team Tyler dealt fill-in running back Kimani Vidal for Tee Higgins back in October, and Higgins proceeded to put up some monster games when he made it onto the field. He finished as WR15 overall, which could have been better had he not missed two games later in the season. Vidal strung together some strong performances while playing for Omarion Hampton, but finished as RB41 and scored a total of 6.4 points in the three weeks of fantasy playoffs.
Free Agent Acquisition of the Year - Pfunk (Michael Wilson)
Michael Wilson played his way into fantasy relevance this season with Marvin Harrison on the shelf. Pfunk scooped him up for free at the beginning of November, and he proceeded to put up at least 12 points in six of the final seven games of the season. He finished as WR16 this season with more points than the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Jaylen Waddle, and Drake London. Wilson was quite the find for Pfunk, unfortunately the rest of his team was quite lackluster.
Below is a look at the championship roster that BluhmGoesTheDynamite put together in 2025, as well as all-time records for all of the KPAFFL participants. Have a Happy New Year and I am already looking forward to a riveting 2026 KPAFFL season!
